CharruaDocs
CS022CharruaDocs installs a printer on Windows. Anything printed on it enters the PACS as a DICOM document, attached to the right patient's study, with nobody typing in any data.
It works for signed reports, consent forms, medical orders, insurance authorisations: anything that is printed on paper today, from whatever system. If the source system can print, it is already integrated: no development, no interface, and nothing to change in the site's software.
To work out whose document it is, it reads the text on the first page —and if the page arrives as an image, it recognises it with OCR— and then looks the study up in the PACS or the Worklist. The rule is strict: the patient's identity always comes from the PACS, never from the paper. What is read on the page only serves to pick which study to attach it to.
Whatever cannot be resolved with confidence is neither lost nor guessed: it waits in a review tray, with the candidates ranked by score and the document one click away, so that a person decides. It can also start with automatic assignment switched off, so no document reaches the PACS unless someone has confirmed it.
It runs as a Windows service and is managed from a web console. It works against any PACS that accepts C-FIND and C-STORE, not just CharruaPACS. For every document it records who printed it and from which machine.
