DICOM is well known as an image standard, but since 2000 DICOM also defines a waveform standard, nowadays many ECG equipment manufacturers include the DICOM option in their systems.

Our DICOM ECG viewer is able to display a DICOM ECG archive; it also can make measurements on the ECG signal. At this time ECG Viewer is very basic and simple to use, we will listen to user feedback for adding new features.

This is experimental software, we are making our best efforts for accuracy, but this application cannot be used for making patient diagnostics.

Operation:

This is the main window displaying an ECG examination.

For loading a new examination the user has to go to File -> Open and choose an ECG file. The grid is calibrated according the information found in the ECG file.

With the right and left key is it possible to move the ECG signal.

The screen can be printed with the File -> Print option.

Cursors:

Displacing the mouse to the lower part of the screen makes another menu to appear. There are two buttons for displaying measuring cursors.  If only one cursor is selected it will show absolute values, if both cursors are selected difference values will be shown also.  To move the cursors click on them with the right mouse button, keeping the button pressed move the mouse to left or right direction.
